wouldn't it be cool to be a trailblazer?
i have some of my ocs in the new tomodachi life game. this also includes one of my next generation ocs, black mamba. i think mamba is kind of a self insert on the basis that they're just a character i made. black mamba is also, technically, the first NGR oc 2 ever oc. obviously, people have been fans of next generation since forever, but were they ever also specifically fans of the character used to represent the label? i do both, and since there was literally just a singular render on artstation for fan content, you can assume that black mamba was the first next generation oc. because when you'd search it on anything, only official things would appear. so after a dream one night about a direct to vhs movie while having a sleepover at my friends house, i needed to immediately draw what i remembered. this is what mamba and angel eyes were born from, though i didn't draw angel eyes until a few days later cause the only thing i remembered about him was being yellow (which was probably my brain just distorting the fuckass blatant beats stress ball). i remembered mamba's design more clearly, though i did decide to take inspiration from fallout power armour (the first two games) for some parts of their design.
i also took this chance to name them after a fire ass song on the label by brisk & vagabond. i personally think that song fits their badass mysterious reverent character. and also because of the song, i chose to give them snake-like qualities (the fangs, tongue, different looking eyes. i try to give them slit eyes i think. i did in td though)
